TIPS ON TUESDAY in The Lady Cave @ Needy Nails Taupo!!!

A wicked day in The Lady Cave with some awesome ladies. A warm welcome to newbie Isabelle and her 4 year old daughter Nikita in for their Shellac pedicure's...so cute and gorgeous...love your pic submission. See you next month.

My mother came to get her fingers and toes revamped for a family wedding on Saturday so we sculpted her some extensions for some extra length followed by a neon Shellac abstract design...a theme where they all match but no 2 nails are the same, then we carried it on in her pedicure. She is so not afraid to try new things and for her, the more outrageous the colors the better she loves it - spoiled much she even came with lunch yummy xx

Shay and Mel also had Shellac manicure/pedicure combos to their liking. Carole saw the day out with her acrylic extensions followed by her layered Shellac for a custom color & some simple hand painted music notes as a nod to her dad whose just retired after teaching music for 40 years - bravo!

Thanks everyone for your pics as usual and an extra thank you for your patience waiting for me to get your pics up each day/night. This way allows me to have dinner with hubby at a reasonable time, tidy up, do what needs to be DID so i can then sit down and load your pics and get through the mountainous task of daily PMs...the biggest hugs all round ladies... YOU ALL ROCK!!!

This is Ali a lovely bestie of Fran Moore owner of Fran's Dog Wash Taupo ... I was privileged to have 'broken in this nail virgin' bwahahaha... Ali has never had her 'NAILS DID' and all I was given as a platform was that she envisioned the colors black and red; as a compromise I did a classic French chevron; kept it small so the natural plate appears longer and to spin the classic I adhered citrine gold crystals for the tuxedo look; we featured her set of chevrons with ring finger silver mylar glitz foils in holographic... these were beautiful just like Ali - best wishes with your continuing treatment my dear;

 Grace couldn't resist the appeal of random Mylar glitter foils over Abyss Black Gel-color... 

they are seriously amazingly gorgeous in reality - 

talk about color and somehow Grace pulls it off with her Mylar foil pedicure (o; see you in 3wks babe...

 This is Grace and she came for a Gel-color manicure/pedicure YOLO gets here then sees the aqua blue Mylar foil on my desktop NEK MINNIT foil pedicure with silver mix gel topcoat for this extreme BLINGY BLUE lol...

 Now this was another special lady.... she was proposed to a few nights ago whilst at work (how romantic is her Romeo) and check out her beautiful marquis style peridot set amongst those lovely clear stones... to enhance her favorite color green (peridot) I custom mixed this LED gel glitz which I named: MAMA-KOOL and applied it as a French on her gorgeous gorgeous natural nails (this lass has some serious symmetry going on in those fingers) then to bounce those greens I applied a holographic silver Mylar foil as ring finger feats complete with a silver reflector gel... CONGRATS AGAIN BABE & YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL (o; xxx

 Gloria came in for a Gel-color manicure and oh my gosh another client whom fell for Mylar glitter foils lol... this is a hot pink foil with a custom gel mix glitz overlay and WOW we have a super bright bling !!! Lovely my friend and so glad you just love them... see you in 3wks (o; xxx

Well....where do we start LOL... 

Hope everyone had an awesome long weekend due to Waitangi Day. I did indeed lap-it-up and have a long weekend of lax and laziness. Nothing as gorgeous as being home in The North in The Hokianga, just a shame couldn't go back to celebrate....frightened might not come back to Taupo!!!

Saturday was an unscheduled emergency for Adele, her Maid of Honor and her Bridesmaid. Glad to have been here and able to help. Very unfortunate to have been letdown at the last minute but so so happy the smiles returned to your dials. Thanks for the pics and cheers girls, catch y'all up in 3 weeks.

Lil sister Mrs Trudy Chapman of Hot Tips Nelson has been baking her little patootie off the last few weeks and here's some of her little creations - stunning sister. I just love them. If i had to choose a fave atm i would say the 'bikini bod' and no need to wonder ole Mr Karl loved the chainsaw .

Did a couple of services this morn (a manicure/pedicure) before i had to head off for more bloods grrrhhhh... home in 25 mins to carry on with my nail day. Jan was my 1st victim after the needle LOL...so happy you are finally healing my friend won't be long before you can eliminate that bag as the weakest link. First bourbon on you when that happens. Set that damn hog up so we can slap our arses and jump them kegs hehehe... always love our time together my friend xx

Not unusual if you know 'Me' - I had a first time client yesterday. Pure Brazilian; Pure Woman, Purely Cultural and Definably Spiritual. Isaura Miranda (Isa).

We connected on all levels. It was a 'moment of time' that leaves a lasting impression. It felt surreal. This was not a nail service - THIS WAS KISMET!
One can easily be mislead by the aesthetic beauty of Isa, but believe me when I tell you, this woman radiates beauty in all phases.

From the moment she stepped into my room, I knew I was not donning my cap of Esthetician; this was nothing but a 'purely woman' connection. In my Soul, I knew this was not going to be one of my gut-laughing 'I'll be the clown for you' day...this was the 'You need Me' to uplift your 'ora', your being... in the words of my daddy "Your Shining has been dulled"; this was true for Isa whereby I was empathetic, sympathetic and as is my usual 'as blunt as a razor'!
I seriously pissed around and doubly took my time to impart some caring via touch during the nail service. This was important to me to truly give some TIME; a deaf ear for loan and keep the eyes focused... it was powerful, it was emotional and very rewarding!

Isa - my heart feels you as a woman in a strange country; that will be the anthropologist in me (love the humanities); your linguistics were beautiful, hence why I could name where you were from because of the lexical tenses of your speech (uhhh that's the linguistic anthropologist in me); the rest of the intuitiveness was pure sharing and what psychological terms were shared was due to two women whom had schooled in a genus.

Again I will say Isa "aside from your physical beautiful there is a deeper one that lays within the 'Inner You'. I am strong in many ways but to brave a life with a new man, in a new country without any fellow family living the life of an 'Army Wife' is COURAGE UNDER FIRE. You come from a Peoples that stand a long long history of 'Mana'. KIA KAHA!

I will share my first thought with You. When I heard your name Isa, my head started to sing.
I remember playing my daddy's ukelele when I was about 4yrs old singing this old traditional Fijian sing; it was sung way before my time when my father was growing up as a child and before; during the World War II, 2 Fijian brothers jumped ship and my daddy's family housed them and for a few years they grew up as extra brothers as my daddy's family consisted of 9 boys and 3 girls; 2 extra boys didn't change jack (although I had an Uncle Jack amongst that crew) LOL...
We were taught to sing both languages but I will sing it in English for you...

I can still see all my daddy's family cry when they sung this song. It was the way they sang it; tears in their eyes, smiles full of memories and the total love and respect for PEOPLE!

Never lose your Shining Isa - the shadows fade and the dawning brings new Light.

This is my 2013 rolling out to bring in the 2014....

My wish today is for everyone to take the TIME and STOP and think of others whose Shining has Dulled and perhaps a kind word or gesture can make that Shining sparkle again...

My buddy Jan-Marie Quinn was also in for her acrylic back-fill, 3 finger sculpt fix ups ...her superhero hubby Michael choose a shellac hot pink and chrome silver feat for her manicure, i added a layer of VIP Status Silver over the chrome for interest - AMAZE BALLS! 

Topped it off My Humpty made a humble shared lunch for us all and i got to eat and mingle for a wee bit before my next client. Always enjoy your company my friend...let me know if you want me to make you a poultice xxx

Her nails were longer but they were quite ragged and split... after a nice rejuvenating prep, this was the outcome.
